St Monica’s Diocesan school first hockey team was one of the 10 teams that participated in the Spar hockey tournament on the 23 April 2022. Despite the cold and wet conditions the players’ spirits were high throughout the tournament. The girls played a beautiful game of hockey against KEHS U/16, KEHS 1st team, South City, Ixopo and Kokstad College. They displayed true sportsmanship and great team spirit. We look forward to the next event as the girls made us extremely proud. We would like to thank God, the Spar hockey organisers, the host, as well as the coaches, umpires, parents and learners who supported all the teams on the day. May the game of hockey go from strength to strength.
