On Saturday, 14 May 2022, St Monica’s learners attended a chess tournament at Focused High School.
Six schools took part in this event, namely Bergview, Khanya-Naledi, King Edward, Maluti JSS, St. Monica’s and
the hosts Focused.
The day went very well and our learners enjoyed the games they played. The schools showcased great skill and
the exposure helped to rekindle our learners love for chess. We look forward to the next tournament.
