Bachelor passes. The performance of the class of 2022 has been outstanding despite the impact of Covid-19 on the educational aspects of the learners almost 3 years later. Various strategies were employed by the staff to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on this cohort of learners from Grade 10 in 2020, when the pandemic hit hardest. Teaching was moved online, catch up programs, weekend lessons and so on. The class of 2022 had to work hard to maintain their drive and perseverance to succeed and to dig deep to play catch-up in terms of lost time and experiences.
St Monica’s, as an IEB School, is trying really hard to be an institution that excels in everything it does and also striving to produce young people who are equipped with the skills and values necessary to survive in an ever-changing world.
We are really proud to see that our students have achieved such good results. They have been an exceptional group and their results are fully deserved.
A special mention must go to our top learner, Lukho Mabunzi, who achieved an aggregate of 76%. He obtained 3 distinctions, Mathematics 82%, Accounting 80% and Business Studies 86%. We are incredibly proud of all our matriculants. We would like to thank the staff and the parents for their support and hard work in preparing our learners to face the future with confidence
